Some of our wedding packages include engagement photo shoots.

These shoots are a fun and exciting events, orchestrated in a way to truly show the couple’s relationship. The engagement gallery further illustrates this and as you can see there is lots of energy in these photographs.

What you wear on your wedding day that is a wedding dress. However for the pre wedding photo shoots we always suggest some bright contrasting colours that you are comfortable wearing.

Over the last twenty years we have come across number of brides and have to say the biggest let down we see is their make up. Some brides are naturally pretty and they know it, yet on the day of their wedding they forget that they are putting make up on and its here where they completely mess things are up. Your make up should be put on that takes the punishment and ensures that you look good for the whole day....

Lot of the information here also applies to brides all different shapes and sizes. Some of these points are also addressed during our bridal training sessions.

Q. With huge boobs and slim hips I am always in danger of looking cartoonish. How can I look chic when I walk down the aisle?

A. Firstly, lucky you! But if you feel self conscious, you can easily restore the balance by adding volume to your lower body to create the perfect hourglass silhouette.

We always advise our clients that they should start choosing their wedding photographer immediately after they have announced their engagement.  There are number of reasons for this –

1. Good Professional Photographers are busy people and they get booked very quickly.

Photographers’ fees vary according to their experience. A better-established wedding photographer is going to charge more.

If you want photographs to include the bride getting ready as well as the first dance and the farewell fireworks, your photographer will need to be booked for the entire day.

If you want to save on the photography budget, you should cut back on the amount of hours the photographer needs to be in attendance on the day.

Photography is the most important aspect of your event. If you select the wrong photographer you will live to regret it for the rest of your life. Even if you have insurance to cover the eventuality of lost or damaged photographs – a re-shoot of the day in a simulated environment is no substitute for the actual event.

Therefore consider carefully the person you choose to photograph and video your wedding.

Nowadays digital cameras have become so popular that almost everyone feels that they can take brilliant pictures.

As part of the pre wedding shoot I normally find couples for the first time struggling to get into posing and giving the look they really want.

I always provide the following advice to all my clients –

• Learn to pose – look at fashion magazines and bridal magazines see how the professional models pose. See if you can emulate a look that is truly YOU.

• Practice with your partner the type of poses you want to do.

I have noticed a plethora of activity in respect of people uploading and sharing photos on social networking websites. On Facebook when I login, straight away I see, “so and so” was tagged in “so and so” photo in “so and so” place.

This is good for individuals who are seeking publicity and self-gratification that they are popular. Pop Stars are good examples of this, who want their fans to see where they are all the time and if a fan can capture their picture or see a picture of themselves in their Icons’ site and the site tells them that they were “tagged” in their favourite Star’s social media site – well it has made their day.

This is a big element of the wedding budget, for some weddings the catering and the venue costs run into thousands of pounds, catering costs of above £20,000 are not untypical. Hence it is important that you get this element right and also need to make sure that you have the caterer that meets with your needs. Remember if they do not get the food right, the last thing you will get from your guests is probably a quick exit and a trip to the local Kentucky....
